Tamilnadu Postal Circle Recruitment 2014 – 227 Multi-Tasking Staff Posts: 

Department of Posts, Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Tamilnadu Circle, Chennai has announced notification for recruitment of 227 Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Vacancies in various Administrative Offices. Eligible candidates may apply on or before 05-03-2014. Other details like age limit, educational qualification, application fee, exam fee details, selection process and how to apply are given below…

Tamilnadu Postal Circle Vacancy Details:
Total No of Vacancies: 227
Names of the Post: Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
Name of the Category:
1. General: 161 posts
2. OBC: 53 posts
3. SC: 12 posts
4. ST: 01 post

Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 18 to 27 years as on 05-03-2014. Age Relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification details:
For Administrative offices: Matriculation or Equivalent or ITI from recognized Boards. (Equivalent qualification will be accepted subject to verification of the approving authority).
For Subordinate offices: Matriculation or ITI from recognized Boards.

Application Fee: Applicants need to pay Rs. 25/- mandatory for all candidates.

Examination Fee: Applicants need to pay Rs.175/-

Payment Details: Candidates have to pay Application Fee and Examination Fee separately in any of the Post Offices through e-payment specifying the name of examination and Division/Unit for which he/she is applying and submit original receipt along with the application.

Note: All women candidates and applicants belonging to scheduled caste/scheduled tribe/ physically handicapped categories are exempted from payment of examination fee only.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in Aptitude Test will be taken to draw merit list in each Division/Unit and selection will be purely on merit basis.

How to Apply: Eligible Candidates may send their application in prescribed format available in the notification & affix 3 identical latest passport size photographs, (one in application form and other 2 in hall permit form), must have to enclose a self addressed envelope, size 22 cm x 11 cm duly affixing a postage stamp of Rs. 40/- along with the application for dispatching the Hall permits & must be mentioned “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF MTS:——————-DIVISION” on top of the envelope by Speed post only on ore before 05-03-2014.

Last Date for Receipt of Applications: 05-03-2014.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Matriculation plus course completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI approved by NCVT/ SCVT in the trades of Fitter/ Electrician/ Instrument Mechanic/ Millwright Maintenance Mechanic/ Mechanic Radio & TV/ Electronics Mechanic/ Mechanic Motor Vehicle etc for ALP Post and Matriculation plus course completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI approved by NCVT/ SCVT in the trades of Electrician/ Electrical Fitter/ Wireman/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ TV & Radio/ Instrumentation/Computer/ Computer Networking etc for Technician posts.

Selection Process: Candidates would be selected based on their performance in written examination.

Examination Fee: Candidates have to pay the examination fee of Rs.40/- for ALP all other Technician categories in form of a crossed Demand Draft or in the form of crossed Indian Postal order to be drawn in favour of Assistant Secretary or Secretary or Member Secretary or Chairman of Railway Recruitment Board concerned as mentioned in notification. No examination fee for SC/ST/ Exservicemen, persons with disabilities/ Women/ minority/ economically backward candidates.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates can send their applications in the prescribed format with details of Name, Address with Pin code, Mobile No., Aadhar No. date of birth, fathers name, etc along with one recent passport size photograph and bank demand draft/ IPO, self attested photostat copy of caste certificates, etc enclosed in an envelope super scribed with ” Application for the Posts of ___ Category No’s____ Centralized Employment Notice No___ & Community____(SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EX-SM)” should reach by Ordinary post to the Railway Recruitment Boards concerned as mentioned in notification so as to reach on or before 17-02-2014 up to 17:30 hrs. For candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and other far flung areas can send their application on or before 04-03-2014 up to 17:30 hrs.
